How To Measure Windows
It is important to know how to measure windows and doors. An essential rule is to measure in millimetres, which are much more accurate than inches or centimetres.
You will have to measure the height and width of the brickwork on the outside view. You need to ensure that the opening is clear and that you measure at the edge of the brickwork.
Ensure that no mess or anything that adds mm must be removed from the brick wall.
Take measurements from the left, middle, and right sides. Sometimes, the opening is not exactly square, so the measurements can be inaccurate. Once you have measured the width and height three times, take the smallest measurement. This means the smallest measurement will fit your opening.
Once you have measured the opening, deduct 10mm from the overall height of the width and height. This is because you shall have space to adjust the window/door.
Remember to include the window/door cill height if you purchase any of our products.
